Steampunk upper arm part - front view

Here's the upper arm part of my steampunk costume. Containing a cute turtle (token of Hermes, the flying messenger right?) chained down. Him running around rechanges the non-working compass (because of all the surrounding metal). Below are bullets which will provide ammo for my wrist-gun that will be attached to the lower arm part.
As you see the leater piece ends in a point at my elbow. This is so that there's as little space as possible between the two arm parts, sort of looking like it's 1 brown steampunk arm
